Remote command execution via unsanitized port parameter
Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Sep 20, 2024
OS command injection in DTS Monitoring 3.57.0 allows remote attackers to execute commands through a crafted SSL Certificate check request. The ajax.php catch_check_data action incorporates the nested port value into a command without neutralizing shell metacharacters, enabling pipe and command-substitution syntax. A request reaching this action executes the supplied program with the monitoring service's privileges, as demonstrated by a Linux callback.
