CVE-2023-3325Network attack vector

Unauthenticated administrator access via forgeable registration signature

Published Jun 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Authorization bypass in CMS Commander 2.287 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain administrator access through site registration. The cmsc_add_site function accepts an insufficiently unique cryptographic signature and writes an attacker-supplied value to the _cmsc_public_key configuration entry. The route is exploitable only before the plugin has been configured; the changed key unlocks remote-control functions, including generation of an administrator access URL.
