Integer overflow in sysstat 12.7.2 and earlier allows local users to crash the process or execute code via crafted activity data files. The check_overflow function multiplies three unsigned 32-bit allocation factors in a 64-bit value, allowing the intermediate product to wrap and pass the UINT_MAX guard. Exploitation requires sysstat to display an attacker-supplied activity file; the resulting undersized allocation permits memory corruption within the invoking process's privileges.
