CVE-2023-33200

Local service interruption via GPU use-after-free race

Published Oct 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 7, 2025

Use-after-free in Arm Mali GPU Kernel Drivers before r44p1 allows local users to interrupt service through crafted GPU operations. A software race in GPU processing lets one execution path free memory while another continues to access that memory after careful system-memory preparation. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and winning the race; the result is service interruption without reported data disclosure or modification.
