Relative path traversal in Microsoft Visual Studio Code before 1.79 allows local users to spoof trusted content after user interaction. Microsoft has not published the affected component or how relative path input is resolved outside its intended boundary. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and user interaction and can expose or alter data, without reported service interruption.
