Authenticated script execution via improper output neutralization
Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Microsoft SharePoint Server allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. Microsoft has not published the affected request handler, input field, or exact failure to neutralize untrusted content during page generation. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and user interaction; successful script execution can read or modify data available to the targeted browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
