CVE-2023-33124

Code execution via crafted CGM file parsing

Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025

Memory corruption in Siemens JT2Go before 14.2.0.3 and Teamcenter Visualization 13.2 through 14.2 allows attackers to execute code via CGM files. The CGM parser corrupts process memory when it handles a specially crafted file, but Siemens has not disclosed the responsible routine or invalid memory operation. Execution requires a user to open the file and runs with that process's privileges, permitting code execution rather than only a crash.
