Transient service interruption via unreleased IKEv2 memory
Published Mar 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Denial of service in Qualcomm Snapdragon data-modem firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt service with crafted IKEv2 requests. The modem retains memory while processing multiple IKEv2 Informational Requests from an IPsec server under different identifiers. An unauthenticated network position able to send those requests can exhaust modem resources, causing a transient service interruption.
