CVE-2023-33078

Information disclosure via FastRPC IOCTL buffer over-read

Published Mar 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Buffer over-read in FastRPC DSP services on Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets allows local users to disclose information through a crafted IOCTL request. FastRPC reads past the end of a request buffer while processing the IOCTL; Qualcomm has not published the affected handler or missing bounds check. Exploitation requires high local privileges, and Qualcomm limits the consequences to information disclosure and a low-impact service interruption.
