CVE-2023-32998Network attack vector

Server-side requests via CSRF-prone form validation

Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 23, 2025

CSRF in Jenkins AppSpider Plugin 1.0.15 and earlier allows remote attackers to make Jenkins send credentials to an attacker-specified URL. A form-validation method accepts cross-site GET requests and sends an HTTP POST containing attacker-chosen JSON credentials without verifying request intent. Exploitation requires interaction by a user with an authenticated Jenkins session; the consequence is an outbound connection and credential-bearing request to an attacker-controlled server.
