CVE-2023-32996Network attack vector

Authenticated email dispatch via unchecked HTTP endpoint

Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 23, 2025

Missing authorization in the SAML Single Sign On(SSO) Plugin 2.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to trigger emails. An HTTP endpoint accepts a POST request with attacker-specified JSON and forwards its contents to miniOrange's email-sending API without checking the required permission. Overall/Read permission is sufficient, and the documented consequence is attacker-controlled email dispatch rather than broader Jenkins compromise.
