CVE-2023-32989Network attack vector

Unauthorized cloud connections via state-changing GET requests

Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 23, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in Jenkins Azure VM Agents Plugin 852.v8d35f0960a_43 and earlier allows remote attackers to initiate cloud connections. Several HTTP endpoints accept state-changing GET requests without POST enforcement, allowing a victim's browser to submit them cross-site. Successful abuse requires user interaction and a separately obtained credentials ID, and it connects Jenkins to an attacker-controlled Azure Cloud server.
