CVE-2023-32988Network attack vector

Credential ID disclosure via unchecked HTTP endpoint

Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 23, 2025

Information disclosure in Azure VM Agents Plugin 852.v8d35f0960a_43 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to enumerate credential IDs. An HTTP endpoint that supplies credential choices performs no permission check before returning identifiers from the Jenkins credential store. Overall/Read permission is sufficient; the response discloses identifiers rather than credential secrets, but those identifiers can support a separate credential-capture attack.
