CVE-2023-32977Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped aborting-build display name

Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 23, 2025

Stored XSS in Jenkins Pipeline: Job Plugin 1292.v27d8cc3e2602 and earlier allows attackers to execute script via a crafted build display name. When “Do not allow concurrent builds” is set, the plugin inserts the aborting build's display name into the earlier build's interface without HTML escaping. The display name must be set before the build starts, and exploitation requires another user to view the stored output; no enabling plugin is known.
