Out-of-bounds write in keyInstall on MediaTek chipsets with Android 11.0, 12.0, or 13.0 allows local users to escalate privileges. keyInstall performs a write without the bounds check needed to keep the destination access within its buffer. Exploitation requires existing System execution privileges, needs no user interaction, and enables further local privilege escalation.
