Permission bypass in MediaTek DA on affected chipsets allows local users to escalate privileges through an incorrect status check. DA accepts an erroneous status instead of rejecting the failed or exceptional condition, bypassing the intended permission decision. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, needs no user interaction, and can elevate privileges on affected embedded platform builds.
