Local privilege escalation via unchecked buffer sizing

Incorrect buffer-size calculation in MediaTek decoder components on Android 11.0 and 12.0 allows local users to escalate privileges. The decoder calculates a buffer size without the required bounds check, permitting an out-of-bounds write during decoding. Exploitation requires user interaction but no additional execution privileges, and successful memory corruption raises the attacker's local privilege level.
