Use-after-free in MediaTek's mtk_jpeg driver on Android 12.0 and 13.0 allows local users to gain root privileges without interaction. Concurrent start and unlock operations access shared bufInfo state; the unlock path releases dma-buf references without clearing stale pointers, producing a dangling file descriptor. Exploitation requires local access to the mtk_jpeg interface and winning a high-complexity race; the demonstrated chain gained root on an Asus ROG 6D.
