Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek TVAPI on Android 10.0 and 11.0 allows local users with System privileges to escalate privileges. TVAPI omits a bounds check before writing to a buffer, permitting data to be written outside the intended memory region. Exploitation requires existing System execution privileges, needs no user interaction, and is confined to devices using an affected chipset.
