Local privilege escalation via incorrect resource permissions
Published Nov 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Privilege escalation in Cortex XSOAR 6.10 before 6.10.0.250144 allows local users to execute programs with elevated privileges. The Linux engine assigns incorrect permissions to a critical resource, but Palo Alto Networks has not disclosed the resource or faulty operation. Exposure requires a shell-installed engine and local shell access; successful exploitation grants elevated execution on the engine host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
