An out-of-bounds write in MediaTek connectivity drivers for Android, IoT Yocto, and Yocto Project allows local users to escalate privileges. The driver improperly validates input before a memory write, permitting data to be written beyond the intended buffer. Exploitation requires existing System execution privileges on a device with an affected MediaTek chipset, but no user interaction.
