Command injection in Paessler PRTG Network Monitor 23.2.84.1566 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The HL7 sensor passes attacker-controlled settings as command-line parameters, allowing the -debug option to write a batch file into the Custom Sensors EXE directory for the EXE/Script sensor to run. Write permission to create sensors is required, and successful execution runs the injected batch commands as SYSTEM on the Windows host.

What happened
