Improper input validation in Zabbix Agent 2 affected releases allows remote authenticated users to execute code via smart.disk.get. The item key passes its path and RAID parameters into a shell command without sanitization, so crafted values can inject additional shell syntax when the SMART plugin invokes smartctl. Access requires an Agent 2 endpoint configured to accept the item request and privileges sufficient to submit the item key; exploitation can execute commands with the agent service account's rights.
