CVE-2023-32724Network attack vector

Authenticated remote code execution via exposed memory pointer

Published Oct 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Untrusted pointer access in affected Zabbix server and proxy releases allows remote authenticated users to execute code through item configuration. The Ducktape object exposes a native memory pointer as a mutable JavaScript property, permitting direct memory access and manipulation. Access to configure a single item under a limited role is sufficient to compromise the monitoring server or proxy and its monitored infrastructure.
