Stored XSS via upload validation bypass
Published May 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
Stored XSS in Kiwi TCMS 12.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in another user's browser through uploaded files. Attachment validators inadequately scan embedded script content, allowing a combination of uploaded files to bypass the configured Content Security Policy. A victim must view the attacker-controlled upload; successful exploitation runs script in the victim's browser with access to application data.
