CVE-2023-3267Network attack vector

SYSTEM code execution via unsanitized backup username

Published Aug 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024

OS command injection in CyberPower Systems PowerPanel Enterprise 2.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as SYSTEM. The remote-backup configuration passes its username field without sanitization into Windows CMD running as NT AUTHORITY SYSTEM. Access to an authenticated PowerPanel account and the remote-backup workflow is required; successful injection grants full host-level command execution.
