IDS crash via malformed Asset Intelligence fields
Published Sep 19, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Denial of service in Nozomi Networks Guardian and CMC 22.6.0 before 22.6.3 and 23.0.0 before 23.1.0 allows remote attackers to crash the IDS. The Asset Intelligence functionality fails to validate the syntactic correctness of certain network-packet fields before the IDS parses them. No authentication is required; the IDS restarts automatically, but monitored traffic can go unanalyzed during the resulting interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=22.6.0 <22.6.3
