Stored XSS via unsanitized plugin settings
Published Aug 25, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Palasthotel GmbH Sunny Search 1.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The settings path stores insufficiently sanitized input and later renders it without adequate output escaping, causing injected scripts to execute when an affected page is opened. Administrator-level access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or installations where unfiltered_html is disabled; execution occurs in a visiting user's browser.
