CVE-2023-3259Network attack vector

Administrator access via attacker-directed authentication database

Published Aug 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024

Authentication bypass in Dataprobe iBoot-PDU firmware 1.43.03312023 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain administrator access. The device trusts the attacker-controlled IP address in the iBootPduSiteAuth cookie and deserializes authentication data from a database at that address. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful access permits outlet power changes, account modification, and confidential-data export.
