CVE-2023-32564Network attack vector

SYSTEM code execution via arbitrary FileStoreConfig upload

Published Aug 10, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in Ivanti Avalanche 6.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code as SYSTEM. The FileStoreConfig app fails to validate user-supplied upload data, allowing an arbitrary file to reach an executable location. An attacker needs high-privilege authentication; successful exploitation runs arbitrary code with the Avalanche service's SYSTEM authority.
