CVE-2023-32560Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via stack buffer overflows

Published Aug 10, 2023 · Updated Mar 6, 2025

Stack buffer overflows in Ivanti Avalanche before 6.4.1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via TCP port 1777. WLAvalancheService.exe copies attacker-controlled type 3 hex data and type 9 tokens into fixed-size stack buffers without enforcing their capacity. No authentication or user interaction is required, and overwriting the Mobile Device Server stack can redirect execution or crash the service.
