Arbitrary command execution via crafted update responses

Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025

OS command injection in Kingsoft Office Software WPS Office 10.8.0.6186 allows remote attackers to execute commands via update traffic. The update client accepts crafted data from its configured update server and passes attacker-controlled content into OS command execution; the exact parser and command sink are undisclosed.
