Code execution via out-of-bounds V8 file read
Published Jun 19, 2023 · Updated Dec 12, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in TELLUS and TELLUS Lite 4.0.15.0 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory or run code via a crafted V8 file. Public advisories identify the V8 file parser as the affected locus but do not disclose the faulty bounds calculation or memory-access operation. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file, after which attacker-controlled code runs with the application user's privileges or process memory is exposed.
