Settings reset via missing nonce validation
Published Oct 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Trustindex.io Widgets for Google Reviews 10.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to reset settings and remove reviews. The setup_no_reg_header.php handler accepts a state-changing request without correctly validating its WordPress nonce, so the administrator's session authorizes the reset. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or take an equivalent action, and the resulting integrity impact is limited to plugin settings and stored reviews.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
