CVE-2023-32538

Arbitrary code execution via crafted SIM2 file

Published Jun 19, 2023 · Updated Dec 23, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Fuji Electric TELLUS and TELLUS Lite 4.0.15.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a SIM2 file. The public advisory does not identify the SIM2 parser routine or the length operation that overruns the stack buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file, after which code runs in the application user's security context and process data can be disclosed.
