Code execution via unvalidated dashboard widget input
Published Jun 26, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Trend Micro Apex Central 2019 before 8.0.0.6394 allows remote attackers to execute code via dashboard widgets. The Control Manager component fails to validate user-supplied widget data before using it in web output, permitting arbitrary script execution in the target user's application context. Exploitation requires the target user to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; published evidence does not identify the affected widget or request parameter.
