Authenticated code execution via certificate SQL injection
Published Jun 26, 2023 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
SQL injection in Trend Micro Apex Central 2019 before 8.0.0.6394 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through certificate upload. The AddCert() function inserts user-supplied certificate values into a SQL query without validation after a modTMMS request sets certificate configuration. A low-privilege account is sufficient, and successful injection can execute commands on the Apex Central server.
