MIME-type setting changes via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Pro Mime Types 1.0.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to change allowed MIME types via forged requests. The pmt_settings_section_callback_tab_1() settings handler accepts state-changing submissions without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or perform an equivalent action, after which MIME-type support can be enabled or disabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
