Traffic modification via forged certificate acceptance
Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Nov 8, 2024
Improper certificate validation in Dell VxRail before 7.0.450 allows remote authenticated users to modify data in transit. Dell identifies the certificate-validation path but has not published the affected component or the trust check that accepts the crafted certificate. High administrative privileges and a man-in-the-middle network position are required; successful exploitation alters intercepted data without interrupting service.
