Improper access control in Dell AppSync 4.4.0.0 through 4.6.0.0 allows local users to escalate privileges during server installation. Dell identifies Embedded Service Enabler and a nonempty installation path as the locus but has not disclosed the incorrect access-control or file operation. Reachability requires low-privileged local access, a fresh installation into a nonempty target directory, and user interaction; the resulting access has elevated privileges.
