Stored XSS via unsanitized custom-channel link
Published Jul 17, 2023 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Premio Chaty before 3.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via widget settings. The custom-channel link setting accepts a JavaScript URL or HTML event-handler payload and renders the saved value in visitor-facing widget markup without sanitization or output escaping. Administrator-level access is required, and the flaw matters when unfiltered HTML is disabled, including WordPress multisite deployments; opening the affected page or clicking the generated link runs the stored script in that visitor's browser.
