Sandbox escape in NSURLSession in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 16.6 allows attackers to escape an app sandbox via file handling. Apple has not disclosed which NSURLSession file-handling operation improperly crosses the sandbox boundary. Exploitation requires a user to run an affected app, after which the app can access resources outside its assigned sandbox.
