CVE-2023-32410

Kernel-state disclosure via IOSurface out-of-bounds read

Published Jun 23, 2023 · Updated Dec 5, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in IOSurface in Apple iOS, iPadOS, and macOS allows local users to leak sensitive kernel state through an app. Apple has not disclosed the IOSurface code path or input field; insufficient input validation permits a read beyond a valid buffer. Execution of an app by a local user is required, and the reported consequence is kernel-state disclosure without integrity or availability impact.
