Buffer overflow in Apple macOS Quick Look allows attackers to execute code or crash an app when an office document is parsed. The Quick Look parser fails to enforce buffer bounds while copying attacker-controlled office-document data, allowing memory beyond the destination buffer to be overwritten. The document must be parsed by Quick Look, requiring user interaction; exploitation can terminate the parsing app or run code in its security context.
