Authenticated code execution via mutable filter validation
Published May 22, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
External configuration control in Teltonika Networks RUT router firmware 00.07.03.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The packet dump utility reads filter-validation variables from an external UCI configuration that authenticated users can modify to permit malicious parameters. Exploitation requires low-privileged authentication and adjacent-network access, after which injected parameters execute code on the router.
