Cross-tenant membership via unchecked profile update
Published May 26, 2023 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
Authorization bypass in FIT2CLOUD CloudExplorer Lite 1.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to join any organization. The profile update request trusts a substituted organization identifier even when that organization is hidden from the user's interface, and the server does not verify eligibility. An ordinary signed-in user can cross tenant boundaries by replacing the permitted organization ID, gaining membership and its associated access.
