Disabled-product checkout via missing status validation
Published Jun 14, 2023 · Updated Jan 2, 2025
Business logic error in FOSSBilling before 0.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to place orders for disabled products through checkout. Cart Service's createFromCart method converted each cart item into an order without reloading its Product record or requiring enabled status. A valid client account and a disabled product already present in the cart are required, and successful checkout creates an order the operator intended to block.
