Code execution via out-of-bounds SIM-file read
Published Jun 19, 2023 · Updated Dec 23, 2024
Out-of-bounds reads in Fuji Electric TELLUS and TELLUS Lite 4.0.15.0 and earlier allow attackers to execute code via crafted SIM files. The SIM-file parser accesses memory beyond a buffer boundary while processing file-controlled data; finer implementation details are undisclosed. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file and can disclose process memory or execute code in the application's context.
