Unauthorized cart changes via unchecked add-on selection
Published Jun 14, 2023 · Updated Jan 2, 2025
Business logic errors in FOSSBilling before 0.5.0 allow remote authenticated users to add unauthorized products to a shopping cart. The guest Cart API accepts add-on products independently and trusts submitted add-on identifiers without checking the selected product's configured add-on list. A valid low-privilege session and suitable catalog records are required, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized alteration of cart contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
