CVE-2023-32266

Code execution via pre-positioned installer DLL

Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Oct 16, 2024

Untrusted search path in OpenText ALM Quality Center allows local users to execute code when a privileged user runs its installer. The installer searches an untrusted location and loads a pre-positioned DLL without first restricting the library search path. Exploitation requires high-privileged local access, preparation before installation, and active installer interaction; successful loading executes attacker-controlled code.
